HMRC have advised that there was disruption to the CDS service on Wednesday 23 April which affected a number of declarations submitted between 11:04 and 12:11. If you have submitted a pre-lodged declaration during this window, and where the goods have not yet arrived, HMRC have issued the below explanation and guidance on how to resolve impacted declarations.
You should act promptly to avoid disruption to your operations.
From HMRC:
"We are contacting customers who may have made a pre-lodged import declaration on CDS between 11:04am and 12:11pm today (Wednesday 23 April). We are sorry that an error this morning resulted in a number of declarations being flagged for documentary checks incorrectly. We have now identified and corrected the error so no further declarations will be affected.
If you submitted a pre-lodged import declaration between 11:04am and 12:11pm today, and it has not yet arrived, you may wish to invalidate and resubmit those declarations. There is no need to inform the National Clearance Hub, we are aware of the issue and are working through affected declarations as quickly as we can. There may be some delays and we apologise for the inconvenience this has caused".
