Port Health: Potential Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) Risk - Consignment Information Required

Liverpool Port Health would like to urgently advise the Destin8 community at Liverpool of the following in relation to required documentation for specific cargo:

"Following the recent Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) outbreak in Germany, the UK government has imposed restrictions on certain imports. To ensure compliance and mitigate any potential risk, we urgently request your cooperation in providing us with detailed information regarding your recent consignments originating from Germany.

Specifically, we require the following information:

• Booking details, confirmation
• CHED Reference Number
• Any commercial documentation relevant to the import

We understand the importance of your trade, and we appreciate your prompt action in providing these details. This information will help us assess the situation accurately and take appropriate measures.

Please ensure this information is provided to port.health@liverpool.gov.uk on creation of the load and prior to the haulage.
