HMRC - Border Force Opening Border Control Point Port of Liverpool 21 February 2022

Dear Sir / Madam, 

This customer announcement is to notify you of a change to the Border Force public counter service at the Port of Liverpool and opening of a new Border Control Point (BCP).

With effect from  06:00, 21/02/2022  the public counter at S2 Office will close and this office will no longer be open to the public, or to trade representatives. All services will transfer to the new BCP where all documentation and goods selected for examination are to be presented.    

These new arrangements are part of wider improvements to ensure Border Force continues to be able to provide an effective customer service and have access to the facilities needed to support the additional customs clearance procedures arising from the UK’s departure from the European Union. 

With effect from 06:00 21/02/2022 ALL; customer enquiries, paperwork requiring processing and goods moving under; Transit, Carnet and movements selected for examination by Border Force are to be presented at the BCP which will operate and provide a 24/7 service.   

Located between Terminal 1 &2 on the West Wall, the BCP is inside the security controlled area and visitors will be required to provide photo ID and may be required to attend and check-in at Customer Services Office before proceeding to the BCP. These requirements should be included in driver instructions. 

To assist in locating the BCP additional way finding signage has been erected at port and a map showing the location and route from the main entrance at Crosby Gate is attached for your information and assistance.
